Unbelievable...
Guess who made another appearance late yesterday afternoon...AF! It has only been just about 2 weeks since her last appearance. To say I was utterly shocked would be an understatement (thank God, I am now always prepared with certain items in my purse). I just don't know what to think. I should have known something was up though because I started to not feel well yesterday afternoon which I thought was an upset stomach due to something that I ate, but now I know it was cramps that were making me feel ill. I just didn't realize it because I haven't had to deal with cramps in such a long long time. So, since this is just day one and not sure how long AF will stick around this time, but as of now she is flowing about normal - not too heavy at this point and I am hoping she doesn't start that like last time. Note to self in the future, pay the extra dollar or two and get the name brand pads, not the store brand - so cheap feeling and they don't stick well to your underwear...yikes! I have an appt. with my new GYN in two weeks so it will be interesting to see what she says when I mention having AF twice in 2 weeks!
Otherwise I am dealing and will take this over having the hot flashes back anyday. My foot pain has almost completely gone away and I return to see the doc tomorrow for a recheck. It will be interesting to see if he want me to continue to wear the brace to bed at night.
I had another pain that came up last week in my right knee that was so painful, I ended up going to see an orthapedic doc last Tuesday and was told it is called "patella pain", it is the cartiledge behind my kneecap wearing away and it is genetic (my sister has it too) and most female get it and I have probably had it since I was a teenager. I was given anti-inflammatory meds and told to not exercise for 2 weeks. It has been feeling alot better each day and I am hoping next week I can start back to exercising whether at the gym or taking walks on the path over at the community center.
We change our clocks this Sunday and it is looking like we are going to be experiencing more Spring like weather in the next couple of days, so I am excited about this. I love the warm sunshine because it makes a world of difference in my mood and makes me smile more and puts a spring in my step - so to speak. Plus, I have a couple of days off (this isn't even my vacation time) coming up next week due to Spring Break at my job...still can't believe how lucky I am to have this job with these wonderful perks!

Ugh!! AF once surprised me after just 19 days... but two weeks?? It's like you just got rid of her and surprise!! she's back!! :p
ReplyDeleteI've also been experiencing creaky knees lately. I guess it's wear & tear. I'm thinking that once the weather improves & it stays lighter longer, we need to get out walking again -- that might help. Enjoy your spring break!
Creaky knees, AFs that are disruptive (currently having a very strange one). I can relate to all this. Except delight at spring weather. Reminds me how close autumn is, and that the summer we didn't have has no chance of showing up now.
